FacilitiesAs mentioned in Sunset Magazine, May 2007 issue, The Bungalow is the best place to stay while visiting Lake County and the Clear Lake area. The Bungalow is a 1930s 4,000 square foot converted roadhouse. Once featuring live music and dancing, it has been restored in the Arts and Crafts style and is now a quiet retreat for exploring Lake County. Enjoy 125 feet of lake access, with a private sandy beach, private dock and pier, our custom-built spa, a huge deck for sunning and relaxing, all with a beautiful view across the water to Mt. Konocti. There is a 2-person kayak and a scanoe for use, as well as a nearby boat launch.
The interior has been enhanced with Arts and Crafts-period furnishings, a collection of fine original art and oil-painted period photos, plush rugs, handmade tile and gorgeous stained glass. Enjoy the Great room, including our comfortable library, stocked with many treasured books to browse, as well as a quiet corner to play games and a wine area. The focus of the room is a fireplace with handmade tile and cozy couches to read, relax and enjoy good company.
The dining room overlooks the lake and is centered with a 1930s table, which seats 10, where you will enjoy breakfast in the morning. There is also an outdoor living room and dining area on the extensive deck overlooking the lake. Guests can also use the lower-level outdoor kitchen for lunch or dinner preparation, which includes a refrigerator, microwave, cooktop and barbeque.
We have recently installed a state-of-the-art solar electric system to help the environment and save a bit on electric use. Last but not least, we now have wireless high speed internet access. |
